Another catchup post on my now-finished playthrough of Finds-The-Way, my run of doing Skyrim in German. After this post, I’ll have nine more to do to finish Finds up.
Main action: running Shriekwind Bastion, resurrecting Seren in Dawnstar, and kicking off the Dragonborn plotline on Solstheim.

Session number 6 in my ongoing active playthrough of Tuxborn, the Skyrim modpack. Main action here: moving the plot along in the Wheel of Time mod included with Tuxborn, but unfortunately not enjoying that very much; running the In My Time of Need plot, this time in favor of Saadia; killing a bandit leader at Silent Moons Camp, this time on behalf of Belethor; and acquiring relics for Auryen at the Dragonborn Gallery.

And now, swinging back around to catch up on Elessir’s playthrough! This is his turn to take out Alduin in Sovngarde! But with a hefty side helping of becoming the Guild Master of the Thieves Guild, too.
Also, this post features my first actual run of the Paarthurnax Dilemma mod, and my thoughts on how that played out. So in addition to this being an Elessir session report, it’s also a short review of that mod.

Time to swing back around to Finds-The-Way, my Argonian assassin I’m running for my German Skyrim playthrough. Main action in this sessin: being named the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, finishing up Katria’s quest for the Aetherium Forge, and getting the Elder Scroll (and crimson nirnroot) down in Blackreach.

And now, finally, it’s time to swing back around to Skyrim posts, to get caught up on the playthroughs I still have in progress on that game even if ESO’s mostly eaten my brain this year.
So here’s a post to get caught up with Elessir’s playthrough. Main action here is finishing up the Dawnguard questline with him, with extra side commentary this time just because I’m running the Serana Dialogue Edit mod in this run.

As you eventually do if you’re me and you’re running the Thieves Guild in Skyrim, I finally got Finds-the-Way to the point of becoming Guildmaster! So most of this session from early January is her doing the thievery work necessary to pull that off.
And oh yeah, she’s also now thane of the Reach!

Short post since this is mostly familiar action, and hardly any German language commentary, even. Main action here is Finds-The-Way running favor quests to achieve the thaneship of the Reach, but with a side helping of aetherium shard acquisition, and also thievery!

Primary action here is finishing the quest to get the White Phial, running the Forsworn Conspiracy, and running Arkngthamz and meeting the ghost of Katria. With the obligatory German language geekery!

This one is way overdue, over two months at this point, but I’m posting it anyway to get it out of my queue! This is the last session Dara, Mel, and I ran in Skyrim Together Reborn, on December 3rd.
This is all main Skyrim quest action, primarily featuring raiding the Thalmor Embassy, and then proceeding to rescue Esbern from the Ratway. With a side helping of general Skyrim Together shenanigans, as we do.

I have fallen behind on my playthrough posts again, in no small part because I’ve been in a headspace where I’ve been way more interested in just straight up playing. But I have continued to take notes for blog fodder! So here’s some catchup dating from mid-December. This is the Skyrim session in which Finds-The-Way finally gets to encounter the Dark Brotherhood. ‘Bout goddamned time, says Finds!
And there’s Thieves Guild action in there too, and the obligatory German language geekery.

Main action here: meeting Paarthurnax; running Volunruud; committing some light thievery in both Whiterun and Solitude; taking out J’datharr the Thalmor assassin; taking out Evethra the mad mage; acquiring the greatsword Shadowrend; showing up for a fishing contest and taking out the bandits who tried to ambush her; acquiring the hammer Nerveshatter; slaying Grelod the Kind at the Riften orphanage; and slaying Crowstooth and Alvasorr the Rat at Arcwind Point.

All of the action in this post is stuff I’ve played through before, so not much in the way of new Skyrim commentary here; this post is mostly language commentary on the German run I’m doing with Finds-The-Way. Overall action here though is getting Mehrunes’ Razor and Azura’s Star.

There’s a bit of advancing the Thieves Guild plotline in this pair of sessions for Finds-The-Way, but mostly, this is all about a bunch of side questing since I’m trying to kill some time and get her more leveled up before I push the Guild plot further along. Main highlights here: running Mara’s Eye Pond, Cronvangr Cave, the Blessings of Nature quest, dropping off the horn at a shrine of Talos for Elisif, and two different quests for Forsaken Cave. And I got Proudspire Manor, and became thane in Haafingar!

Latest action out of Elessir, my non-Legacy of the Dragonborn modded playthrough! Main action in this post: running Goldenglow Estate and then Honningbrew Meadery for the Thieves Guild plotline; running the Interception plot to help out the Remnants agents; confronting Kinthal’s Saints bandits near Karthwasten; helping the Orc stronghold Largashbur with a giant problem; running Avanchnzel and returning the Lexicon there; buying Honeyside and becoming thane in the Rift; and returning Azura’s Star to Aranea, and heeding Azura’s directive to cleanse Malyn Varen’s soul out of it.
