Slowly closing in on the end of my 2023 catchup posts! This one is back to Elessir’s Skyrim playthrough.
Main action here is finishing up in Blackreach, and discovering to my chagrin that I’d left Septimus’ Lexicon behind when I left with the Elder Scroll; retrieving the Lexicon, taking it back to Septimus, and meeting Hermaeus Mora; confronting Alduin for the first time on the Throat of the World; and running Ancestor Glade to discover the location of Auriel’s Bow.

Still working on clearing side quests in Kendis’ journal in Skyrim, before I send her off to Solstheim to go toe to toe with Miraak! Mostly, this meant becoming thane in the Reach, getting Vlindrel Hall, and doing a bunch more fishing to get the overall Fishing quest lines finished up, including defeating a giant spirit crab in Dawnstar.

Kind of a mishmash of action here, with Harrow finally getting her first encounter with Alduin on the Throat of the World–but also settling the nightmare problem in Dawnstar, and getting the thaneship there. Plus fishing. So much fishing!

Getting caught up on Kendis! This is a three-session post, predominantly featuring getting the Elder Scroll out of Blackreach (and getting a bunch of crimson nirnroot while down there), and then heading off to Ancestor Glade and Darkfall Cave for Dawnguard action.

Action for this session: acquiring a full set of ebony armor and weaponry for Jordis; going to Dragontooth Crater to take out the dragon there and get the Word of Power; and starting my run through Alftand, to get the Elder Scroll!

This session saw the conclusion of the run through Alftand, and the acquisition of the “Dragon” Elder Scroll, needed for both the main plot and for Dawnguard! And, epilogue with returning to Fort Dawnguard and following up on further plot pointers there.

With this session, I boinged back to the main plot to seek out the “Dragon” Elder Scroll, the one specifically needed for the main plot but also for Dawnguard. Got in some action at the mage college, slew my first Revered Dragon this time, and began running Alftand with Serana as my backup.
