Time to swing back around to Finds-The-Way, to try to catch up some more on her Skyrim playthrough. This post is mostly familiar territory, since it involved moving the Dawnguard plot further along, and in particular running the Soul Cairn. And now, finally, it’s time to swing back around to Skyrim posts, to get caught up on the playthroughs I still have in progress on that game even if ESO’s mostly eaten my brain this year.
So here’s a post to get caught up with Elessir’s playthrough. Main action here is finishing up the Dawnguard questline with him, with extra side commentary this time just because I’m running the Serana Dialogue Edit mod in this run.

Main action in these sessions: getting started with Dawnguard, and in fact making serious inroads on the plot, getting all the way through running the Soul Cairn and getting Valerica’s Elder Scroll. And in between all of this, I kept bouncing back to Whiterun trying to spawn the Traveler. Which did in fact finally help me solve the problem with Carlotta and Mila being stuck!
Meanwhile, I also picked up the thaneship in Winterhold! For free, pretty much, since I’d already helped enough people and had put the new Jarl into power by way of winning the war.
And last but not least, I got onto the trail of finding the Dragon scroll, needed not only for Dawnguard, but for the main plot as well.

Just to go back and revisit Skyrim for a bit, here’s the next post in Shenner’s playthrough!
Double session post, in which I finish up the end of Dawnguard in Shenner’s run. Main action: speed-running Forgotten Vale so I could get Auriel’s Bow, and then heading off to Castle Volkihar to take out Serana’s father.

And now, some catchup in regular Skyrim! I’ve gotten in periodic Shenner sessions while playing a bunch of ESO, advancing her through the Dawnguard plotline when I can.
So here’s a catchup post about going to Ruunvald with her to rescue Florentius, returning to Castle Volkihar and running the Soul Cairn, retrieving schematics for Sorine, and then running Ancestor Glade to get the location of Auriel’s Bow.

Double session post! This sees Faanshi finishing up Dawnguard, by finishing her run through Forgotten Vale, getting Auriel’s Bow, and then taking it back to the Dawnguard to rally them to accompany her and Serana to Castle Volkihar. And take down Lord Harkon!

As expected, it took me an entire session to run the rest of the Soul Cairn. Because not only is there just that much to do in it, I was considerably slowed down by being overloaded!

We’re now reaching my favorite parts of Dawnguard in Faanshi’s playthrough! In this double session post, I got her to Castle Volkihar with Serana, and into the Soul Cairn to look for Serana’s mother Valerica–and many of the other fun things in the Soul Cairn as well.
