Okay, I'm officially confused...
Sep. 14th, 2003 01:08 pmSo I'm doing the web page for the Pern group I used to be in and which wants to resurrect itself, and I want to buy it a domain name, telgar5.org. However, when I go to the site I bought annathepiper.org from, i.e., Network Solutions, it claims that telgar5.org is not available. But I can't get it to come up in a web browser, nor can I ping it or whois it or nslookup it. Same thing happened when I tried telgarweyr.org. Does anybody know any reason why Network Solutions might be confused on the matter of .org domains?

But buying .org domain names in theory is supposed to be still working the same, so there seems to be at least a little shakiness between the PIR folks and the registrars.
