We actually got a little bit of snow overnight, but not much. And it didn't stay; it was gone by the time I woke up. It's been raining most of the morning and so far most of this afternoon--except that now it's abruptly shifted over to wet snow and it's starting to stick to the rooftops. Woot! I doubt it'll stay unless it gets a lot colder this afternoon. We'll have to see how it affects tomorrow's commute, since there's snow in the forecast for tomorrow too.
annathepiper: (Bond James Bond)
Yesterday I treated [livejournal.com profile] mamishka to a viewing of Casino Royale at the Neptune in the U-district, which was quite, quite fun--and [livejournal.com profile] tiggymalvern, [livejournal.com profile] darthhellokitty, and [livejournal.com profile] king_chiron wound up joining us. Meems informed me that she quite liked the film though Craig isn't clicking as "Bond" for her. Tiggy is totally not buying Craig as Bond at all. Me? After a second viewing, I'm not only still very solid on Craig!Bond, but strongly considering one more theater viewing before I'll consider myself done.

Continuing my Bond fangirl mood, I also watched Goldfinger again last night. The contrast between 1964 34-year-old Connery!Bond and 2006 38-year-old Craig!Bond was quite striking, and amused me quite a bit.

Spoilers for both films back here... )
annathepiper: (Er what?)
This just in off of weather.com, a heavy snow warning/severe weather alert for the Seattle/King County area. And this in November, too, folks! We've been getting a couple of power flickers here at the Murkworks, which is vaguely disquieting. It's very cool to be getting all this snow, but not so much if we actually lose power. If we suddenly go offline, this'll be why. Our connection's already burped once so far tonight.
