This just in off of weather.com, a heavy snow warning/severe weather alert for the Seattle/King County area. And this in November, too, folks! We've been getting a couple of power flickers here at the Murkworks, which is vaguely disquieting. It's very cool to be getting all this snow, but not so much if we actually lose power. If we suddenly go offline, this'll be why. Our connection's already burped once so far tonight.

We've got fairly piddly snow here, but I'm cool with that because if they cancel school tomorrow P is going to be BOUNCING off the walls.

Seattletimes.com sez that "numerous schools were expected to close Monday", but no actual list seems to have been posted yet.

We don't even have snow sticking to the roads yet; it's probably all north-end schools.

Yeah, that'd fit with the heavy snow warning text--it was all focused on the northern part of King County.

This sounds like the same "storm" that's supposed to hit us late Thursday night or Friday, dropping our high temps from mid-50s to around freezing in 24 hours.

By our standards, this is actually a pretty decent storm. It's only petering out now, after about four and a half hours of good steady snowing. Weather.com still has Kenmore marked for snow on the hour-by-hour forecast all night tonight, so!

I doubt it - there's the Cascades and the Rocky Mountains between here and there, plus some others. I think that's kinda far. ^_^ But the jet stream might be shifting south a bit and causing both, I dunno.

Aw, now I see they've canceled the warning. Foo. And the snow's pretty much sputtered to a halt here, though snow remains in the hour by hour forecast for Kenmore clear into tomorrow morning. We'll have to see if it starts up again.

So that's where our snow has gone! Lovely, warm spring weather here, farmers were complaining on the radio today about grass growing all over the place, and how they already fear next years crop will be ruined by this unseasonal heat... Feel free to send some snow our way :)

School is closed, power was out seven hours, and our gigantic laurel got knocked over... so much for our privacy screen. Wonder how I fix that?

Sorry to hear you lost power last night. That part's full of suck. :( Our power flickered a couple of times, but held steady. We'll have to see how things go tonight.

It was mostly melted this morning for the commute, but they're saying we've got more on the way. So the commute home may well be quite interesting!
