The National Weather Service swears up and down this time

Looks like they're trying the Winter Storm Warning thing again, folks.

Keep your eyes peeled on the forecast over the next few hours. Or just look out your windows. That ought to tell us at least by late tonight if we are indeed about to get hammered with snow.

This may well mean an off chance that both of my medical appointments will be canceled tomorrow. Or not. The last winter storm warning was called off, after all!

ETA 5:09pm: OH HEY, note that if you're in Seattle proper, you're still under Winter Storm Watch status. It's only us folks farther to the north that are covered by the warning.

Still, it sounds like somebody's getting snow tonight.

*snerk* Yeah, you better buckle down for more snow; I just edited my post. It seems like Seattle proper's only on Watch status, but those of us to the north are on Warning.

our weatherbeings are calling for 2cm overnight and another 5 during the day tomorrow. and oh joy, i have an AM appointment myself in the AM that's a half-hour's drive under normal conditions.

solarbird and I both have appointments on Friday, too. We may still make those, but tomorrow? Very much up in the air.

zenbastard is down in Kenmore right now, at his cousin's house, visiting his OTHER cousin who came up from Yuma to watch his brother graduate from Bastyr.

We told the Yuma cousin "oh no, you don't have to worry about snow" so that's probably where this is coming from. Anyway, P better get his ass home soon because he's driving the car without snow tires (how he made it up our driveway is beyond my comprehension, because a) no snow tires and b) his snow/ice driving skills suck). Watch out for black Kia Spectras headed east, he's probably going to get squirrely.

If I'm understanding the forecast correctly, snow's really not expected until after 10pm, so there should be some wiggle room there.

But yeah, best to be cautious. Though I don't think he'd slide up this way. more likely he'd wind up in the lake. ;)

snow and wind here now, dammit. power went out at the hospital as I was leaving there (talk about lucky timing). colder than the gates of hell with the windchill -- so button up warm.

We're not expecting any serious snow until overnight and into tomorrow morning, but it's definitely cold here. Hopefully Puget Sound Energy will not have issues with ice on the lines or anything. Good thing it's not windy.
