Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Dec. 1st, 2005 11:54 amOkay, I'm charmed. It's official.
(Actually, I first wrote 'It's charmed. I'm official', and I didn't catch this until
spazzkat pointed it out. Oops.
solarbird giggled and liked that, which is why I mention this now.)
ANYWAY, from stowaway to fat cat class, Emily the cat is heading home, in style. I am especially charmed because this cat looks a lot like Polly!
In honor of it being winter and today's first snow of the season here in the greater Seattle area, I have switched out my default icon to a winter version of my Yahoo avatar. It also looks better with my winter seasonal journal colors. Snow on the first day of December! I approve. Even if we don't get any accumulation to speak of, I still love watching snow fall, and it makes it look like actual winter around here. Dara and I may go out in it in a bit just for the sake of a walk in the snow, and because we also need to make a pilgrimage out anyway, for lo, we are sadly lacking in soda in this house.
It is beginning to look like I'm about to take a jaunt down to California possibly on or around the 19th for job interview purposes. Not quite as soon as I expected, but still pretty soon. More details as I have them. But now I need to think about interview clothes and maybe getting my hair trimmed up and YEEP.
To all of you folks who have been winging comments at me about beta reading, thanks in advance, and I hope that you'll enjoy my work. :)

Luke: "He told me enough... he told me YOU killed him."
Vader: "No, *I* am your father."
he said:
Vader: "No, OBI-WAN killed your father!"
Matter of fact, I seem to remember hearing rumors to that effect before the movie came out... that Obi-Wan killed Anakin.

Date: 2005-12-03 07:14 pm (UTC)First off...love the icon with the snow outfit! LOL
You know, I was listening to the radio news and I thought I heard them say that there was snow in Seattle. I kept repeating over and over Did they say snow in Seattle? LOL I mean I know you all get snow, but I guess I was expecting it so soon. Plus that my sister is in the Portland/Vancouver, WA area and I guess they didn't get any or she would have said something. It's just COLD here! 38F/32F tonight/slight chance of light rain turning to sleet. I'd only hope for that if it means the bad guys will stay quiet! LOL
So glad to hear about the job interview. I've been reading the updates but just hadn't had a chance to comment. *fingers crossed*

Date: 2005-12-03 07:19 pm (UTC)And yeah, we're boggled about the snow too! As I type this, it just in fact STARTED SNOWING AGAIN. We woke up to snow on the ground, about half an inch... and we think we actually got an inch or so overnight but that a lot of it melted.
But now it's snowing AGAIN.
Thanks for the crossed fingers! All good luck wishes are welcome! :) :)

Date: 2005-12-09 09:39 pm (UTC)Right now it's 21 with a wind chill of 13 (and due to get colder this evening); not much sun today either, but I'm just thankful the 3-7 inches they predicted didn't hit here. Besides, we have plenty of winter weather to go and I'm sure we'll "make up for lost time." *g*
