I just found out from solarbird, spazzkat, and risu that someone has broken into the carriage house at MurkSouth. They apparently made off with all the keys to the main house, and now Dara's having to get a locksmith to come and change all the locks pretty much ASAP.

This is irritating beyond words, not only for the 'we can't really afford to spend several hundred bucks right now' factor, but also for the whole thing with SOMEBODY BROKE INTO OUR PROPERTY AND PUT ALL OUR TENANTS AT RISK.

GODDAMMIT!

The lockbox containing the keys was kept out in the carriage house because we needed to keep the keys somewhere Dara could easily access them. We had kept them in the main house before while we were living there, but well, we don't live there anymore, so we had to take them out of that space.

I was wondering the same thing, since the carriage house isn't terribly secure. Perhaps in the future you should keep the keys in my apartment or the other half of Point 8? Those doors at least have real locks on them, so that way the box can be accessible to you and not to baddies.

Well, Dara's wound up moving the keys up here--which will seem to do us for now. But thanks for the suggestion! :)
