I just found out from solarbird, spazzkat, and risu that someone has broken into the carriage house at MurkSouth. They apparently made off with all the keys to the main house, and now Dara's having to get a locksmith to come and change all the locks pretty much ASAP.

This is irritating beyond words, not only for the 'we can't really afford to spend several hundred bucks right now' factor, but also for the whole thing with SOMEBODY BROKE INTO OUR PROPERTY AND PUT ALL OUR TENANTS AT RISK.

GODDAMMIT!

Well, Dara's just had a locksmith come out and do emergency changes of all the locks. But this won't stop the bastards from coming back to check, regardless. Grr.

Which we don't have, and which we can't afford to buy anyway. Getting a locksmith there TONIGHT was the only option. Dara did not have the luxury of going out and buying locks herself--that would have left the house unwatched. So she had to call someone to come there.

How about fake spy cameras from computer stuff sitting around and red LEDs? Keith suggests this is often enough to make them decide "easier target next door" even though it's cheap....

Don't know if we have the parts, unfortunately. But yeah, we'll have to figure out what to do about this in the long term.
