annathepiper: (Great Amurkian Novel 2)

Some of you loverly people have been kind enough to report in that you’re quite liking Valor of the Healer, for which I thank you from the bottom of my heart! If the spirit moves you, please consider rating and/or reviewing it somewhere suitably visible. It will help. At the level at which I operate as an author, word of mouth is critical to try to encourage others to boost my sales.

Amazon remains the best and highest visibility place to rate and/or review a book, but Goodreads would be good, too. I haven’t gotten much yet in the way of ratings or reviews at Goodreads, and Amazon has nothing at all.

Also, don’t forget that if ebooks aren’t your thing, Valor IS also available as an audiobook. Ratings and/or reviews on that would also be awesome.

And of course Faerie Blood is still available, and because Valor‘s selling for $2.99 at the moment, I’ve put Faerie Blood at the same price. So now’s a really good time to grab the ebook if you haven’t already. Also, I DO still have a small number of print copies available: seven, to be precise. The only way to get Faerie Blood in print is still to talk to me directly, so if you want one, do let me know. I’ll be happy to mail it to you! The best and fastest way to pay me for a copy remains Paypal.

Questions? Talk to me!

And as always, a roundup of everywhere you can buy both books is available on Valor's official page and Faerie Blood's official page. Thanks all for your ongoing support!

annathepiper: (Kendis Thompson)

Although they’re really still thin on the ground, I’ve had a few Faerie Blood reviews show up in the wild lately–hopefully, thanks to the little drawing contest!

userinfopinkdormouse calls it an excellent mix of the supernatural and the geeky.

Fellow Drollerie author Elisa Diehl (who y’all may remember was a guest blogger here for the last round of the Blog Tour) sees herself in its pages, which is really rather nifty to hear. *^_^*;;

And over on Faerie Blood’s Goodreads page, fellow Drollerie author Heather Parker dropped a short but lovely review, and Rae L, who’s on the same Paranormal Mystery list I’m on, has good things to say too.

Thanks to you all for your reading time and your support!

userinfosolarbird spotted this nice mention of Faerie Blood in connection with YA novels the reviewer was reading. Somebody in the comments thought it sounded neat too. Yay!

To anybody who happens to wander by as a result of that post, first, hello! Second, for the record, Faerie Blood is not actually YA, although arguably it’s YA-friendly. Kendis at age 28 is too old to really qualify as a YA heroine, though.

Also, Christopher is only half-Scottish! This doesn’t actually come up in the story, but for giggles and grins and the reference of any of y’all reading this, Christopher’s father, Malcolm MacSimidh, actually is from Scotland. He moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland, at some point in his younger days and married Christopher’s mother, a Newfoundlander. Christopher however considers himself a Newfoundlander, even if he has a very Scottish name, since he was born and raised in St. John’s. It’s his mother’s blood that gives him his magic, not to mention his music.

The Eludium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator is–

No wait, wrong cartoon. This “At last!” is to report that Faerie Blood is finally, finally, available on Amazon! So those of you who have been waiting for it to show up in the Kindle store, now’s your chance to pick it up.

Meanwhile I am holding steady at #13 on Fictionwise’s list of best sellers in Fantasy, and I’ve picked up some ratings there as well.

And! I have my very first review by somebody who didn’t know me beforehand. Which makes my heart glow, especially the part where she liked that Kendis does not give a flying damn about expensive clothes.

Man, this keeps up, I might start feeling like, y’know, a writer.
