Friday, finally

annathepiper-0: Looks like the story on Microsoft caving on Washington State's gay rights bill has hit our local papers. I can't say I'm surprised. I'm still very not pleased, though.
+1: On the other hand, Spain has approved a bill legalizing gay marriage and adoption, despite the shiny new Pope being quite cranky about it.
+/-2: I found someone's sweater at our bus stop this morning, a nice little hooded knit sweater. Wasn't sure what to do with it, but I finally called in to Metro's Lost and Found line and reported the item being found in case someone calls in for it. And I think I'll leave a note down by the bus stop tomorrow, since the Metro Lost and Found can't get the item until Monday anyway since I won't be taking the bus home tonight.
+3: This morning I weighed 162.5 pounds! This is the post-surgery low that I hit, according to my LJ entries from that time frame, and I am quite pleased about it. I've tried on a pair of my smaller shorts that I haven't worn in many, many months. They're a bit tighter than I like, but they fit me again. Yay!
+4: Still slowly working my way through Joanne Bertin's Dragon and Phoenix, despite having picked up a few more books in the meantime. And I'll have to admit to succumbing to temptation and scarfing a copy of Vicki Lewis Thompson's latest nerd romance, and reading it as well, which broke out of my current book schedule. But hey, I was in the mood for a fluffy, lightweight read at the time, what can I say. ;) And Ms. Thompson fit that bill nicely.
+5: Tonight, we plan to go see Kung Fu Hustle and eat Italian food. This will be an interesting challenge to my current weight loss resolve, as Italian restaurant meals are always QUITE filling. I foresee treadmill tomorrow.
