Final call (and open thread)!

I'm at work today, but I'm heading straight to Norwescon after work, riding down with spazzkat. We'll be joining solarbird who is already there, and mamishka who's driving down separately from us. So y'all consider this your final call: anybody actually going to the con who wants to meet up with me, please drop a comment and let me know when/where to look for you!

Everybody else, I'll be offline for most of the weekend. Norwescon does not typically have an Internet lounge, and while the hotel has Wi-Fi, they charge for it. So I may or may not be able to check my email or my LJ while I'm gone. Anything I need to know about, you might want to tell me now, or else wait till Sunday when I get back from the con. :)

Till I leave, though, I have to make it through a day of work. If you want to help me slog through the next eight hours, feel free to drop a comment about anything at all here!

Thank you kindly! It's been rather nice the last couple of days, so the drive down ought to be pleasant in that respect; the only annoying part will be heading south on 405 during rush hour. :)

Yeah, that's when you pack some good cds or books on tape so you don't mind just sitting so much. Once we knew it was going to be so bad we stopped at Golden Age to pick up comics to read while we waited in traffic.

Heh. I didn't pack the iTrip thingie I can attach to my iPod to play it over a car radio, but spazzkat has a car charger, so if we're hurting for music we can maybe do that.

Also, I have books with me, so if we really get stuck, I can pull out one of those! (I damn well intend to read jesshartley's book some time this weekend, as I owe her a read! Thing's been out for months and I still haven't read it. :) )

I'll see what happens. :) I tend to not be much of a panel-goer, but I do at least survey the program book every year to see if there's anything that sounds interesting. I'll look for his name! And his books. :)
