Woods, woods, Black Rider, woods...
Mar. 15th, 2005 10:28 pmReading over the outline of the Walk to Rivendell up on eowynchallenge.net, I gain a new appreciation for exactly how far Frodo and his cronies had to go when they left Hobbiton before they got to anywhere else even remotely civilized. I haven't even gotten to Bree yet! Of course, they covered this distance a lot faster than I am--this is what happens when you get to travel all day.
And fortunately, there aren't any Black Riders lurking around my treadmill. (I think.)
Things are looking good, anyway, for me to not only make up February's weight loss goal but hit March's as well. I've started seeing 165.5 on my scale, which is a recent low, though not quite as low as I went just after the surgery last summer. But I'm now very close to that range (around 163), and feeling a lot better than I did just after that surgery, too. Exercise: I'm for it!
Miles out of Hobbiton: 43.3
Miles to Rivendell: 414.7
