I just got told by my boss that we have a very high priority fix that needs to go into the product I'm working on. The fix won't be available until end of day today, and apparently results on this are desperately needed by 9am tomorrow morning. I promptly assured him that I have no problems staying late whatsoever--and I don't, since I need to make up the hours lost due to the insomnia. I'd already racked up a bit of overtime for this week, but working late tonight should make this a comfy paycheck indeed.

I'll have to see if I can edit in between running tests here, 'cause I suspect I won't get home early enough to put more than a passing dent in Chapter 11. And I'll certainly get home too late to treadmill. Oh well!

Yay! It's nice when you can gather the good karma of pitching in to help a high priority project and it _doesn't_ screw up your schedule. These things usually like to come when your best friend from Sweden is in town for one night only and the cat just swallowed a screwdriver bit and Russell Crowe is doing a one-night-only show with GBS in Vancouver.
