One of these days I will either whip up a new stylesheet theme for my journal and my personal web page, or at the very least figure out a way to have my journal flip round to the next seasonal style in the queue when my web page does. Regardless, it's spring on Anna's journal now!

Also, I did exercise again tonight, but took care to try to do a less strenuous treadmill walk than usual since my system's been so wonky lately. But I didn't want to fall out of the habit of exercising entirely. So I did 40 minutes again tonight, but kept it slow and easy, and totalled only 1.44 miles (deliberately timed to get rid of the fractional part of my recent Rivendell tallies). Thus:

Miles on the journey: 27.0
Miles to Rivendell: 431.0

Spring? *laughs* We got inches of snow today - it's not spring yet. :) Well, not here anyway.

That's happened before- it was... what was it. '94? '93? When the mountains got hardly a flake of snow, the reservoirs were nil, and Seattle when on water restrictions in April. Wheee.

We're pretty dry down here, too, though we've had rain today and yesterday, the first rain in weeks. Hopefully that means it was snowing in the mountains.

*snugs* Weather is strange, yes.

I'm told we normally get around 90something or other snow, but this year we're already up to 108... Millimeters? Probably. Not sure.

Anyway, we probably could use the extra - it's been a long, long time since I remember snow drifts this high in March!

*laughs* I don't know - they talk about rain in millimeters, but I know we got 20cm of snow yesterday. So, probably centimeters.

Seems reasonable to me anyway.

Yes, there's that. It's just bizarre. I'll see if I can find out for you, because now I'm curious.

You're welcome. I was having some difficulties copying and pasting, cause I was trying to get the pertinent info into my post, but my computer wasn't cooperating with me at the time.

In any event, I learned something new when I checked it out, so that was cool. Hope it helped explain the confusion! :)

I hope you're able to work your insomnia out without too much hassle. I suffered a weird virus in college that my body fought valiantly, and in the course thereof I couldn't sleep for 3 days straight. Just couldn't. Laid in bed, not sleeping. My doctor's best guess was that my immune system was cleansing "fatigue poisons" in addition to everything else, as weird and hand-wavey as that sounds. It took me more than a year after that before I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep properly. Bleh.

Anyway, the dr. I saw about my sleeping problems had me keep a journal of when I went to bed, approx. how long it took to fall asleep, how often I was waking up, how long I was awake for, and when I would wake up in the morning. He took a look at it and said that yeah, definite non-normalness. You might want to start keeping track of that kind of thing a little bit- if nothing else, as improvement gets made you'll be able to see there has been improvement, and maybe that'll make you feel better. Sleep's a weird thing like that- stressing about how you're not sleeping only makes it less likely that you *will* sleep. :P

Here in Lexington, anyway,it snowed a little-a light dusting, really, today. As far as Lexington goes, it's been a very mild winter-hasn't snowed enough to cover the grass.I think Louisville and Covington got hit with a few snowstorms, though. Scott
