It has occurred to me in the last few days that if I do not get a rejection letter from Tor by this next Saturday (the 20th), then I will meet the one month + one week turnaround time from "acknowledgement of manuscript" to "rejection letter" accomplished by Faerie Blood's first visit to their slush pile. I'm hoping for either "it takes longer to get the rejection letter this time" or "I get a rejection letter with better feedback"! And of course it goes without saying that "please send us the rest of your novel" would be cool, too. So everybody keep your fingers crossed that I don't get a rejection letter for another week and a half! ;)

(This makes me think I really do need to get more of the edits done on the third draft of FB, though...)

I'm crossing my fingers for you.

As an aside, I was cruising through the new online "TechNet" magazine at BorgCentral, and was gleeful when I recognized the author of the HOW IT WORKS column. Pass on my admiration for a nicely written article to the author, the lovely retired glass sculptor... :)
