Having done my civic duty, I now settle down with my comfy flannel-and-fleece blanket, some Mike's hard lime chilling in the fridge, and the coverage of tonight's election carnage to watch on assorted stations on the TV. I figure that regardless of how the results go tonight, I'm going to need the libations. ;P

ah well, it was a suggestion... ::shrugs:: I was expecting a day free of political/election calls... Did I get it? no... I got about 20 or so calls asking me who won... I wonder if my disappointment showed over the phone lines...

Off topic- I think I have my costume for next yr planned out, but i need your help (and hopefully, my hair will be long enough again by then to pull it off)- What kind of attire did Strongbow wear in the EQ books? I can't find mine, and I figured I needed to start ASAP to be sure I have it ready in time...

Thanks for the suggestion, but yelling drunkenly in the street, tunefully or not, really isn't my style. :) I mean, that IS one of the reasons I moved out of the U-district--to get away from behavior like that.

As for Strongbow, go look at my Strongbow site, which is still up even though I haven't done any work on it in some time. I've got a considerable amount of fan art there. And looking at pictures will be way more constructive to you in getting an idea of what to do with your costume than any attempt of mine to describe Strongbow's attire will. There's also the fact that Strongbow's outfit does change depending on what part of Elfquest you're looking at.

If you can't find your own EQ books, also, you might consider seeing if any are to be found to be checked out in your local library.

I'd look in my local library if they had any of them... local library has crap, and since our wonderful governor has cut funding to them to build casinos, they don't even get anything new... whatever they get now is all donations...

Sorry to hear that. Well, hopefully one of the pieces of fan art will give you a better idea. You could also go look at elfquest dot com itself, as you will probably find some pictures of Strongbow there that you could easily use. Last I looked, the entire first issue of Hidden Years was one of the ones the Pinis had scanned in and made available for online reading, and that was a Strongbow story. Go look there, too.
