I just came back into the lab from an excursion out to the little testers' room, and what do I see but a horde of small costumed creatures stalking the hallway. It is the afternoon before Halloween at Microsoft--and several of my teammates are not in sight. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!

Zim: The Dib! He's missing! They've taken him and drained him of his sweet, sweet blood candies!

Ms. Bitters: Who's taken him?

Zim: The candy zombies! It's like you said! The children tried to end the hunger for sweetness... in their... rumbling, undead... bellies!

OH yes... I am acquainted with that goodness... ;) As well as the goodness that is Animaniacs, and Presentators, and all the other goodnesses that are on Nicktoons ;) I thrive on them... was just playin with ya...

As for the costume, I will most likely find out tomorrow if I won or not... At least mine was better than the "faerie kitten costume that someone wore... the leather boots with buckles and chains totally ruined the effect...

As I've just mentioned to

shikyrie, the fact that a large woman was in costume is not the annoying part for me. The annoying part was the stupidly twee concept of the costume. :) The important part is the skill and creativity of the costumer, not his or her size; I've seen people of slender people in costume at science fiction conventions look like idiots in their costumes, and I've seen plenty of large persons in fabulous outfits.

Oh, no doubt, I am not question the Quality of a costume based on weight, simply the choices.

For example, if you happen to be 300+ (not that there is anything wrong with that mind you, if that's your life choice, still, dressing up in a tiger striped bikini and posing as Lum... might not be the best option for you. Most costuming I think one does not need to worry about the size of the person.. but there are some instances where.. really.. I mean.. take a moment and think about it before you go outside your house in it.

Well, for me, "annoyingly twee costume idea" and "large woman" put together as concepts is not the annoying part. I'd be just as annoyed by a "Faerie kitten" costume on a slender person. And it's certainly just as possible for a slender person to look stupid in a costume as it is a large person. Believe me, I've been to enough science fiction conventions and seen enough stupid costumes on persons of all sizes to know. :)

I've also seen large women wearing fabulous costumes, so. The important part is the skill and creativity of the costume, not the size of the person wearing it.

Yes, the costume looked utterly ridiculous- I think the concept was stupid to begin with... was just stating the fact that the person wearing it made it look even more ridiculous to the point where I wanted to puke... BTW, I won 1st place again... 2 yrs running :-D
