Guh, what a morning. Had one of those dreams where you're dreaming that you're actually awake and have been just waiting for the alarm clock to go off--except that you're actually asleep and then the stupid alarm clock goes off, and so the rest of the morning gets colored by this veil of spazzy disorientation. And you're lagging a few microseconds behind everything around you.

This was enough to make me miss connecting busses this morning, too. I got to the corner of Bothell Way and 61st JUST as a bus I suspect was the 342 zoomed by--so I wound up having to take the 522-545 route instead, thinking that that would still get me to work by 8:45. I must have also missed the right 522, or else the one I caught got delayed by traffic, because I got downtown five minutes too late to catch the 545 I wanted. THEN I couldn't find the stupid bus stop that I wanted.

I finally got the right bus, but didn't get to work until 9:15. And I've been spending all morning trying to figure out what the bloody hell I'm doing, as I have to configure a zillion machines and keep track of what each one of them is doing, and who's using them for what. GUH!

those dreams where you "dream you are awake and going thru the morning" then you DO wake up, get fuzzily outta bed and try to go thru the process of the morning, and nothing goes right b/c you are still 1/2 asleep & thinking "didn't i just do this?" and whatnot?
yeah, i get that when i change doses on my anti-depressant, and sometimes when i'm SO overtired that i had trouble sleeping, the next am i'm sometimes in this vague-fog-fugue-ville yeah...
TOTALLY fubar's the day!

I do this all the time..I have to be at work by 5:00 A.M...the scary part is when you can't really remember how you got to work, or some of the things you've done while mostly asleep..It's what I call "autopilot"...Fortunately,my autopilot is fairly accurate,so long as no one asks me what I did early on in the morning....it's what happens when a natural nighthawk gets wedged into a day job...Scott
