Things must be slow at Tor this fall. [livejournal.com profile] solarbird just told me that I got back my SASP for my manuscript sent off to Tor on the 30th; for those of you who were keeping tabs earlier this year, this is a much faster turnaround time on that than I had for the first one! The SASP with the first submission for Faerie Blood took a little over a month to get back to me; this time, it's taken roughly two weeks.

Consulting my LJ posts from this past summer, I see that I had about a month and a week between the SASP getting back to me and the actual rejection letter showing up. Let's see what the turnaround time is like this time!

Gosh. It'd be nice if they'd answer about Angles sometime soon.

Yeah, I am, because they've got the whole manuscript. Last I heard it was with an editor who was doing freelance work for Tor, having left them as a full-time employee. Of course, that's the guy who was supposed to read it in the first place, and it's been thirteen months. :P

Huh? Hasn't it been, what? A year? Can't Jen call someone and find out what the deal is?

She's nagged 'em. At this point I'm just trying not to think about it too much. :P

Wow, that -is- fast! I've heard slushpile turnaround time to be more like 6 months for most companies.

Congrats and best of luck to you! :)

Wow.. You've had a lot of great things to report in your LJ lately! I just wanted to toss in a "congrats" on it all and express my happiness that things seem to be working out well for you, these days! :)

*grin* You're very welcome! If only everyone could have their lives "settle down" like that! LOL! Mine should do so once I move a bit closer to DC. Commuting from Frederick, MD is a killer! *rolls his eyes*

Heh. I have to admit that my stressors do not necessarily have the same impact on me as yours did. As I once mentioned to someone regarding debt and income: the managability of one's debt is proportional to the income that one has. Therefore all debt is (generally) an equal PITA. :) Something similar could be said regarding stress, don't you think? *grin*

I do recall the household site-hack. That was most obnoxious from my outsider's PoV. You folks did /not/ deserve such abuse. I'm sure that the perps will get what's coming to 'em, one way or another (only because I do not fully recall the conclusion of that horrendous situation).

Did you address the submission to any particular editor?

PS Congrats! We (and by 'we' I mean both myself as the somewhat delusional royal leader of the WW empire...bwahhahhaha...and also as the unit of myself and Jorgen) are rooting for you all the way, sistah-friend!

Regardless of who edits it, I want to know when it comes out! ;) Now that I know folks who're getting to be "famous authors" and all, I need to keep up with you all! *teasing wink*

I'll buy it! (Err.. once it's been published, at least! Heehee!)

*grin* I know! That's why I put in the "once it's been published" clause -- there's no way that I could afford to foot the bill for you.. (as much as I might wish that I could!) 8^)

Then get to work already! LOL!

In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed and wish the best for you! ^_^
