The one small glimmer of hope is that the agent says that Mr. Buyer apparently initialed the contract but Mrs. Buyer did not, and there is the scant possibility that Mrs. Buyer may not agree to said contract. I kind of doubt it, though. This is the kind of market we're in--where people are anxious enough to get houses right now that they're pretty much willing to abandon contract contingencies like this. (With this house it makes somewhat more sense than it did with the house in Brier, but still.) And it doesn't help that this house is already on the crazy high end of our financial range--we can't compete with higher offers, not for this one. :/
