And he looked me square in the eye and said, "No!" And my brain balked and a little corner of it went, 'Oh no! What do I say now? Is Séan an asshole? Ack!' But then he added devilishly, "But you can insinuate!"

The man is a MASTER. Muahahaha.

I couldn't possibly HOPE to come up with an answer for that, so I just said, "Okay, can I insinuate about the key of 'John Barbour'?" I told him I'd been trying to play it all day and it had been driving me batshit trying to figure it out. He confirmed it's B flat. ^_^

*giggles happily* It was a very short conversation--but it was actually a conversation. I only have so much bravery, though! And I'm kicking myself for not actually telling Séan happy birthday or what a kickass job he actually did on "John Barbour"--doh! :) I think I was too focused on trying to not sound like a drooling fangirl. ;)

GBS is chock full of fangirly squee-inducing goodness, both musical and hormonal. :D Though I have now determined that Mr. McCann is not quite as frightening to me as Mr. Doyle is--possibly because while I think Séan is a total babe and technically actually has a better voice than Alan's, he does not appear to be the active threat to my knees that Alan is. ;D
