Random list stuff while bored at work
Mar. 18th, 2004 01:10 pm+0: Well and thoroughly songvirused now by the first five tracks off Something Beautiful*: "Shines Right Through Me", "When I Am King", "Beat the Drum", "Something Beautiful", and "Helmethead". Especially the second and third. I'd vote for Alan Doyle for King! GBS needs to get out here for another show NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW.
Well, okay. I'll settle for "after this contract expires", because then if they show up during my obligatory 100 day break from Microsoft I could have a long leisurely day prepping to attend a GBS show, and that would rock.
A posting on the OKP about a recent show describes how the lovely and talented Mr. Doyle was quoted as saying that he and Bob should be able to get married if they want to. ;) Hehehehehehe. This is the same Alan who also frequently proclaims his love for Séan, who in turn has been quoted at least once as saying that he'd like to sing the part of the maiden for once in "I'm a Rover". *sighs happily* I love these guys!
+1: Master and Commander is coming on DVD. We needs it. Yessssss, we needs it, my Precious!
+1a: There should also be Invader Zim on DVD soon, too! GIMME!
+2: Wrote about 300 words last night but got a bit distracted talking to
boudiccathered about how to play out the scene I'm about to get into, in which my heroes shall have their first encounter with the bad guy, and talking to
dementia42 about writing in general. I'll do the formal tally tonight.
+3: Also watched a rerun of The Dead Zone that Tivo had caught. That show needs to start its third season now; once Angel is gone I won't have anything else to watch! Not like I watch anything else much these days anyway, but well hey, DZ is good!
-4: Can't figure out how the heck to get the installation of some specially needed network drivers installed on some new 64-bit boxes I have to play with. Grf. This has been driving me nuts.
+/-5: Finished To Shield the Queen. Not a terribly exciting book, though I didn't see the ending coming, at least the part involving what happened with the heroine and her love interest.
+6: I am amused that I've started getting emails about job leads again from local agencies. A little pre-emptive, given that I'm not out of this contract till the end of June, but it'd be nice if this trend continues.
