An entry that has nothing to do with writing

It was very odd not actually doing any writing last night. I'd toyed with the idea of starting to review my notes for my other project, then toyed with the idea of playing with a couple of my fanfic projects, but mostly what I wound up doing was playing with my guitar. And playing Slashem. ;)

This morning, I was awakened by the simple fact that it was lighter in the room than it should have been, and THAT made me go "HOLY CRAP what time is it?" The answer to this question was 'approximately 8:20', whereupon I realized that I had not in fact properly set the alarm last night. DOH.

So I had to drive in. Which was a little nerve-wracking, because 1) it's raining like a sunuvabitch outside, and 2) this was the farthest I've driven since breaking my arm, and also 3) only the third time I've driven since breaking my arm.

And also, Nutri-Grain bars carried in the purse for two days get kind of squishy. Y'all were just dying to know that, I'm sure.

Oh, and one more thing, attention to Great Big Sea: NONE OF YOUR SHINY NEW TOUR DATES ARE IN SEATTLE. Please correct this oversight immediately. Thank you.

Yeah. What she said. I got all excited when i saw the email announcing new tour dates this morning, 'cause some of 'em just had to be west of Detroit, right? Like Seattle? But noooooooo.

It is exactly times like these that I wish I could draw, because I require me a sketch of Super-Deformed Anime Anna, her enormous dewy eyes all teary, her little mouth all crumpled up, her cute little hat clutched to her cute little breast by her cute little hands. Just so that I could post it to the General board on the OKP and say, "You boys wouldn't want to disappoint a face like that, would you?" ;)

the nice thing about those is that they don't lose nutrition when they lose shape cohesion! :)
not that i can EAT them, mind you... *grumble* but it's kinda like crackers... there's still value in a crumbled cracker, it just doesn't get buttered is all :)

Yes! No GBS on the west coast yet and that's making me CRAZY! Not fair! We're going to have to wait for them in the fall, I think...and I'm still pouty that the new album won't be here until March.

(sorry for the drive-by comment, but I was looking up folks who had "Scots-Gaelic" in their interests - and you turned out to be a triple (so far) threat! Scots-Gaelic, Great Big Sea and a writer. Yaaaay!
