Another act of mental housecleaning

So I got emailed today by the member of Segel Weyr with whom I'd been talking the most. I'd say writing, except that I haven't done any writing at all to speak of. And even aside from having had the major distraction of a broken arm this past year, I haven't been able to get into the goldrider the Segel folks gave me, at all.

I emailed that person back then, and also emailed the Weyrwoman, to let them know that I really needed to give up the character and retire from the club on the grounds that I need to focus my creative energy on writing an actual novel. I wished 'em well and told 'em that as far as I was concerned, the other party could have custody of my character since she was the one who'd expressed the most interest in her.

I hope they take it well!

What is Segel Weyr? Is it a PBEM or a MUSH or what? Never heard of it. :) I hope they take it well too, but when it comes right down to it, RL always has to come first.

Segel Weyr is one of the oldest fandom Weyrs in Pern fandom... it's offline, mostly, though it does do a bit of RP on a private mailing list. In theory it has a newsletter though I have yet to see any sign of one.
