Friday night,
solarbird and I went out to dinner with
kathrynt,
llachglin,
spazzkat, and Linda, a friend of
rmd's who has recently moved to Seattle. We all went to Queen Sheba, the Ethopian place in Capitol Hill, at which nummy food and good conversation was had; then we went to the Dilettante, at which nummy dessert and further good conversation was had.
tinlail and
lyricae came over yesterday to help out Dara with the ongoing work in Din, so that we can try to get the durned space rented as soon as we can; many thanks to and blessings upon 'em. :)
Got a hankering to watch Monolith Monsters again last night; this is an old skiffy flick that Dara has on tape, and which I'd totally forgotten about because it fell down behind our rack with the videotapes on it. Recently dug it out again... this past Turkey Day, in fact, when I dusted the hell out of that rack. But felt like watching it last night, so I did! Cheesy fun not too bad 50's SF amusement. Yay!
And last night, my little brother called me to inform me that I am an aunt yet again: he and his wife are now the proud parents of little Michelle Lynn Highland, the fifth child of my brother's brood. She popped out close to midnight Kentucky time, which resulted in Dara and I being the first to know in the family since everybody else was asleep! We even found out before Marc's kids. Yay baby!
