Getting there, slowly but surely

640 words tonight, to bring Chapter 20 up to 1,617, the story as a whole to 72,703. Spent a good chunk of this evening, though, trying to work out in my head exactly what all is happening since everybody in the cast is going to be in on this scene, and it'll possibly be spanning the next couple of chapters. I feel like I ought to be calling for all the characters to establish a pose order. ;)

*snicker* Will you have a little pose order object they can check to see how long it is until their turn?

One of the NICEST things about writing a story with lots of chars rather than RPing a huge scene is NOT having to stick to pose order... because YOU control all the characters and can insure that no one is left out or left behind, and no one is offended by being "skipped"! :)

janne says she's waiting for Tarrant to mav. ;) I can see him and Melisanda paging or sending hitting on each other back and forth while everybody else is fighting. *chortle* And I can just see Christopher in my head refusing to pose more than three words at a time because all of Rachel's poses are five paragraphs long!

And yeah--it's easier doing this when I'm in charge of all the action, in a way. But it's also a bit harder in that I also have to worry about how to arrange everything in the best possible dramatic way. In theory in a big fight scene on a MUSH the involved parties would all also be thinking about this, but not always! Sometimes it'll just be "Eek, that just happened? Okay, now what should I do..." Or, "How can I make myself look as cool as possible?"
