Yes, truly! I'm not at the UW anymore, but still in the area. Staying mostly in Mountlake Terrace these days, tho 'place of residence' is still Mill Creek/Bothell. It seems silly to have not met you after so long in the same area. :)

Oh, we should! I have not seen it yet, no - no one wants to see it with me. :( I was in Oregon and a friend of my parents' said all these wonderful things about it, and was so enthusiastic about it... that sounds great! What's your availability? :)

Weekends are best for me, and this Saturday and Sunday afternoon both I'm free. It's playing at the Metro in the U-district at 1:15 and 4:20; is that theater location good for you, or those times? I can probably drive if need be at this point, though I'm sort of out of practice after not having driven at all since breaking my arm, minus one test drive down to the U-Village not too long ago. :)

One addendum: I forgot that solarbird and I are going to look at a potential new house on Saturday morning/early afternoon, so I could probably only do the later of the afternoon shows that day. Sunday would be better, therefore. Let me know if any of the weekend works for you. :)

Actually that is true for me too - not house-looking, but bellydancing Sat. late morning, so I wouldn't be able to make the earlier show that day either. I need to check on something tonight and will either let you know tonight, or early tomorrow morning, if that's all right! :)

Looks like Sat. I'm tied up - I have a thing down south instead and don't know how long it will take, but it seems unlikely I'll be back up north in time for either showing. Sunday would be ok though! 1:15 would be best I think, and if you wanted to have lunch first that's fine with me as well, either way. :) If this sounds workable to you, great! Just need to know where to find you and when to find you there. (Can email if you like, I remember I gave you my updated email addy when it switched, for the mailing lists.) So does lunch. Are there any particular places you like? Have you ever had pho at Than Brothers Pho on the Ave? :) It's fast and it's cheap and it's tasty!

Metro sounds fine, and 1:15 on Sunday it is, then! Lunch sounds good to me too. I don't know a lot of places in the area, though, since I never actually lived there - so I didn't do much eating in the area, and when I did, it was the 'grab a slice at Pagliacci's' kind of eating. ;) I've never been to Than Brothers Pho, but fast, cheap and tasty ring ALL my bells. ;)

Sounds like we're getting a PLAN here!

Okay, what I suggest is that you meet me (and solarbird, since she says she would like to have pho as well though she isn't sure about the movie yet) at the Pho place at 12:30ish. That should give us plenty of time for pho, as the service there is lightning-fast. You walk in, you get a seat, it's almost instantly BOOM, food!

Pho in case you aren't familiar with it is basically a Vietnamese type of soup. It's beef-based, and has a rich, hearty beef broth and fine rice noodles in it, and it can come with all sorts of different little bits of beef in it. It also has green onions in it, and can have sprouts added, or bits of jalapeno or other spices.

You can also get chicken or pork related pho at this particular place, but the broth in it is still beef-based.

Of course, it occurs to me that with the current concern about beef in this state this might not be necessarily a good plan, so if we're all a little antsy about that, we can go to the teriyaki place just up the street instead. :)

BUT! Let's at least use the pho place as a place to meet. To find it, get on the Ave. Head south. Than Brothers Pho is between 43rd and 41st, on the RIGHT, if you are heading south.

Sounds like an excellent plan. I'll be there with bells on. Or, well, at least I'll be there. I'm just under 5'5", neither skinny nor voluptuous, have long brown hair, wear glasses, and will most likely be looking around uncertainly with an "Am I in the right place? Will I be able to find my people?" kind of look on my face. ;)

I'm blonde, about 5'4", will have my hair in a ponytail and will most likely be wearing a red, purple, and blue hat and carrying a yellow backpack. Dara has really long brown hair and is about the same height I am. :)
