... but very likely Chapter 16 tomorrow. Current word count on this chapter is 2,943, bringing the total up to 57,260. I've got one more little blip of a mini-scene to put in this chapter before I ship it.

There will, however, be at least one boom.

So, how many chapters/word count do you think the finished novel will have?

Once Chapter 16 is done I am expecting probably at a very BARE minimum another five chapters. If I take a minimal word count per chapter of 3K, that means another 15K words... which would put my total at about 73K.

That said, I have learned while writing this book that I ALWAYS, ALWAYS underestimate how many words it's going to take me to describe something. This is what I get for being Verbosity Girl. :)

So it's probably more likely going to come out to around 80K and 7 chapters, but I won't be surprised if I go over that, too.
