For the first time since I broke my arm, as of this afternoon, I have DRIVEN OUR CAR! My elbow was a little shaky on the gear shifting, but I DID IT!

Gosh, that was satisfying. I haven't missed driving much in the last six months, but for doing things like going to the store and needing to get a bunch of groceries that you can't have a PRAYER of carrying home on foot, you really do need a car. And it's good to know that if I need to I can also drive to work again, now.

Yes, it's good to not have to drive, but knowing that you -can- if you need to is often comforting knowledge.

Thanks! I am a happy Anna--if nothing else because this was one of the few remaining signs of being wounded I still had lingering, and now although my elbow got quite cranky about it, later... I DID IT!

20 pounds of kitty litter wasn't coming home with me on foot, that was for sure. :)

Thanks! I worried sometimes there that it made my journal sort of boring, what with the months-long stretches of "blah blah blah broken arm blah blah blah ow ow ow blah blah blah nerve damage blah blah stupid bone blah".

My elbow is pretty cranky tonight, but ssha's boyfriend, who is visiting, has provided me with an aromatherapy moose, which I have nuked in the microwave and now have wrapped around said elbow.

Also, it amuses me that I can now use the sentence "It's time to nuke my moose" in conversation.

Hee hee! Yeah, it's sort of weird to see a floppy stuffed moose full of herbs, but it did feel really good to have the warm moose-shaped thing full of herbs wrapped around my elbow. ^_^
