Last night's word count

I made it up to 26,164 words last night--which was about 500 or 600 words behind. Bah. This is what I get for being sloggy-headed yesterday and having a hard time getting the words out. Hopefully I'll make up for it tonight!

Probably good to keep in mind that it is going to get harder the further you get along ... just cause you have less and less to write about the more you progress through the book ... and cause you'll be getting tired, you've been using your creativity a whole lot, etc etc. You're doin great! Just don't beat yourself up too much if you find you're having a harder time gettin' the words out. That's very reasonable. :)

*hugs!* Thanks babe! Hell, I've already surpassed my personal expectations... I thought for sure I'd be doing well to get to 25K, much less 50K. It is helping a LOT, I think, that I took the trouble to make that outline at the tail end of October; that's driven me this far very well, and although I've diverged from the outline in the details of how various things were implemented, in the broader sense I've kept to it fairly well.

And now with a rough outline of what I want to happen in the second half of the month's work, I'm hoping that I'll keep the story going fairly well. I know for SURE the story won't be done yet when I hit the 50K; I should hit or pass 35K alone with the next three chapters, and there's no earthly way I'm fitting everything I want to happen after THAT into only 15K!

You're absolutely right though... this is very tiring! It's kind of like playing a non-stop MUSH scene over the course of half a month! ;D
