Why is the Tractor bad? I've never set foot in the place.

As venues go, i've never had a positive experience with the Tractor. Unless they've remodelled in the last few years, it feels about as big as a shoebox inside, and, at least on the few occasions i went to something there before swearing off, it seemed as if they oversold the shows- so that there was almost enough room to stand comfortably, assuming that you like being surrounded with other people approximately three inches away.

Hrmmm. That crowded = bad. I'd do it for Great Big Sea, but I'm not sure I like the Paperboys THAT much. :) I shall have to ponder this more!

Besides, the shows are also right around when the H.P. Lovecraft theater performance that mamishka told me about is, and I want to go to that too!

The Tractor Tavern is small, but I've never really had a bad experience there. But then again, I generally go to see smaller bands there and expect the whole packed crowds thing. If you get there early enough, there are a few places to sit. They're away from the main stage, but if you only want to hear the music rather than be up close and watching, they should be fine.

If they haven't remodeled. It's been years since I've seen a show there.
