My that looks scary! How do you sleep with that contraption on your hand? I would take my eyes out with that thing.

Happily I don't HAVE to sleep with it. I can take it off at night, and what I usually do is wear it to work and take it off when I get home. My physical therapist okayed this, so it's authorized.

Up until last night I HAVE been sleeping with the brace on, the thing on my upper arm. And for a while I was sleeping with a regular wrist brace on, though I have been phasing that out.

I do inadvertantly scratch myself a lot with this thing on though. :P

Thank goodness you don't have to sleep with it. I can see how you would scratch yourself on it, though. Ouch. And other people too, probably.

Figured I probably would. Doctor Claw was the villain in the Inspector Gadget cartoon. He had a metal hand with spikes on it, and a grey tabby cat. :)

Have you ever seen one of those "Stop for me, it's the law" signs modified to have a C in front of "law" and a claw drawn on the picto-pedestrian?

The Claw is pretty neat, but I could not hope to ever look funky enough to belong on the set of Brazil! I've got that whole short, blonde, and perky thing going on. :)
