... what might be in a tuna melt sandwich, french fries, a banana or chocolate milk which might stimulate nerve response or be otherwise good to nerves? That is what I had for lunch, and as of right now I am having more heat reactions in my hand, on the outer side of my wrist. Am curious as to whether this is coincidence or whether I managed to eat something useful. :)

My guess would be either the tuna or the banana

I have found that bananas can be, weirdly, surprisingly soothing.

I've got a friend that tells me that it is the potassium and that the cravings I have for banana are actually for that. (something about taking iron supplements that needs more potassium to counteract? Because it is only when i'm taking the iron regularly that I get the cravings for banana)

Sure, the potassium would work. Increases nerve conduction, as least if you're deficient.

Also, if the chocolate milk actually had real chocolate in it, the theobromine/caffeine is a general stimulant and ought work.

If you really want to design a study to test it, let me know. ;) Otherwise just keep eating the same stuff.

No clue what made you feel better - could even be a coincidence - but now I'm hungry...

I don't know if there are anytuna in the ponds around Jim Beam in Bardstown, but there could be alcohol. Why? One of the distilleries caught fire the other day and the bourbon and whiskey was flowing into the local pond and some of the Wildlife people were concerned for the health of the fish. In other words, you never know what you get in your food.
