Russell Crowe is getting married

Officially, or so sez the Internet, on April 7th. Which is his birthday as well -- conveniently timed, that! Birthday gifts and anniversary gifts all on the same day.


This is the conversation that took place on my MUSH because of this topic:

Anna snugs a Cyn, remarks in general that as of April 7th Russell Crowe will 
  be officially married, and is pondering whOSether she should a) pay bills, 
  b) go through this pile of loose receipts lying around, c) read the rest of 
  The Shipping News, or d) write, or e) all of the above.

Kalliope says "You need to make sure he at least sees you from afar on the 6th 
  so he has a chance to realize what a fool he's been and show up on the 7th, 
  late at night, having not gotten married, drenched by the rain, holding an 
  equally drenched bouquet of flowers, to be your third."

Anna giggles, though. I suppose if I stand up on the roof and jump up and down 
  a lot, Mr. Crowe may see me all the way from Australia. ;p :)
You say "Either that, or I'll just knock all the shingles off."

Exactly! Either that, or the soon-to-be Ms. Crowe can save on birthday gifts!

I have it on the best authority (my sister) that getting married within a week of your birthday *sucks*

Your birthday basically gets skipped the year you got married and gifts are often combined other years.

I've heard the same from December babies. So.

Yeah, I can believe it. :)

Though at least in the specific case of Mr. Crowe, he has been frequently quoted as begging his fans not to send him Stuff, because he has a whole PILE of Stuff, so maybe he won't care about the crossing of the dates. ;)
