Russell Crowe's forthcoming movie, Master and Commander, has had its release delayed from June until November. I am MOST put out by this, and I leave it as an exercise to the reader to determine the consequences of an Anna denied her Aussie fix for five extra months.
Grumble. *yells towards Hollywood* "Summer release worked for Gladiator, ya know!"

Drat!
Date: 2003-02-25 04:23 am (UTC)It still stinks on ice that we have to wait till November to see Patrick O'Brian's characters on the big screen.
Re: Drat!
Date: 2003-02-25 10:23 am (UTC)To the best of my knowledge they're opting for the November release to increase the movie's visibility for the Oscars, pure and simple. (Hence my previous commentary re: Gladiator. ;) ) Summer's going to be stiff competition box-office-wise what with the second Matrix flick and the X-Men sequel about to come out... but then again, November is also going to be stiff what with the third Matrix flick due out, and then of course in December we're going to have Return of the King.
Oh well, I guess I'll have time to read a couple more of the O'Brian books; I've covered the first three so far.
