This is just too damned cool

I just walked into Tower Records and purchased a copy of my brother Donnie's band's debut album. And my brother's right there on the back cover, in the middle of the band photo. HOT DAMN that's just too incredibly cool.

Plus, the band's official web site is now open for the public, and so is this fan site. The latter of these amuses me greatly because that there is my big brother holding up the album on the main index. WHEE!

Sorry to hear the site is giving you problems -- Dar and I have noticed a couple other issues with both of the sites, but I'm not sure who to send bug reports to!

(Heh. This is what my brother gets for having a web geek sister, I and all my geek friends will find all the problems with the band's websites. ;D)

As for coming over, well, any time you want to visit just let me know. We could do the lunch on the Ave thing, perhaps.

Congratulations! I was pretty tickled about my brother's book, "Developing Analytical Database Applications", but it doesn'thave the same pop culture cachet as a CD. Hah! Much better doorstop, though.

Hehehe. Donnie gets weird expressions like that sometimes; it's actually a bit of a problem he has with his facial musculature as I recall.

And hee! Yeah, there's rather more coolness factor with a rock CD than with a book on database apps, though I can appreciate the nerd factor of the later, too. Heck, I just spent this past fall setting up a database as a way to blow my free time, after all!

Thanks for sharing!! I went to the site. Right up my type of music!!! :D Its so cool to hear people I know having people in their lives succeed in stuff.. you know.. :) I hope that came across like i wanted it to. It's cool to hear about 1 or 2 degress's of seperation people suceeding at really cool dreams in their lives.!!

Heh -- I'm jazzed it's music you like! And hey, I'm pretty jazzed about being one degree removed from Donnie's success; it's so WEIRD to see my brother's face plastered all over a fan site, but it's also extremely cool. :D

solarbird says it'll be even weirder when the band starts having its own fan forums online and people start gushing over which member of the band is their favorite. The thought of people swooning over my brother makes my head tilt. *LOL*
