Oh darn. There go my plans for hot Aussie sex!
Though well hey. I have to admit that if he goes for Danielle Spencer, I'm down with that. 'Cause hot blonde musician babe! ;D
He's nominated for Best Actor for A Beautiful Mind, too. Hurray! I'm rooting for him, naturally -- though I'm wondering about his chances of getting two in a row.
ABM is up against LOTR for Best Picture, though. That's a real tough call for me to make. So is Ron Howard vs. Peter Jackson for Best Director. LOTR really did blow me away, in a big epic grand sort of way, but ABM blew me away in a much subtler and intimate sort of way. But I think I'll be good with LOTR getting Best Picture as long as RC gets Best Actor.
Tonight on Craig Kilborn's late show he got in some good RC-related zingers.
On RC popping the question to his girlfriend: "Is that your husband pulling into the driveway?"
On RC getting the Best Actor nomination: "... for A Beautiful Mind, in which he plays a brilliant, kind-hearted genius. If he can pull that off, he deserves the nomination!"
Very wicked, Craig! But okay, I have to admit I giggled.
I giggled, too, at "Crowe was so excited about his nomination that he grunted at a reporter."
And in other news, Dar sent around email today with a URL off Amazon.com for a mystery novel that features ELVIS PRESLEY as the 'detective'. The scary thing is that this book was the second of the series!
The scarier thing is that I am simultaneously deeply horrified by the prospect of this series and strangely compelled to go look for the first of the series, as according to Barnesandnoble.com, the paperback version came out in December. Hoo boy. :)
