Dude! Coyotes in Kenmore!
Jul. 3rd, 2007 09:22 amSo I'm working from home today, on the grounds that I have a chiro and another doctor's appointment that I have to go to and also because things are very quiet at work (especially given that tomorrow is Splody Day so nobody'll be doing much of anything anyway).
And I just looked outside the media room doors and saw a slender, pointy-eared animal making its way down the slope of the garden. "Is that a fox?" I wondered, calling for
solarbird. She came over and looked out and then went "No, that's a coyote!" And we were both "HOLY CRAP!" and Dara was urging me to grab the digital camera. I was too slow for her to get pics while the critter was still on the garden slope, but she did get it as it made it down to the road in front of our driveway. Go look at her pictures!
I'd seen news reports the Times had been running of coyote sightings in the area, though so far we hadn't had any in Kenmore. Part of me is thinking this is so very cool and the other part is hoping that various neighborhood pets are secure. Also, this should make life interesting for the raccoons.
