And now, the I Hate the Flu Song
Sep. 10th, 2005 04:07 pmI hate the flu
I hate the fl--*wheeze hack cough cough hack cough*
I do not hate the Ny-y-Quil
But I hate the flu
I've been spending the last three days wrestling off this flu that's tackled me. My fever broke overnight between Thursday and Friday; I stayed home from work on Friday. I've been sleeping a lot, and slogging back copious amounts of water and Gatorade. And coughing. Bleah. Stupid coughing.
Needless to say, I haven't written a word. But I've watched a lot of Invader Zim, and we did watch the new episode of Battlestar Galactica last night (three words: "Apollo in towel"), and perhaps tonight we might watch some more Lost.
About the only productive thing I've managed to do is get some bills paid. At this point, having slept most of the day, I'm mentally anxious to do something, anything, even if my body still feels sluggish and wants to stay in hibernation until the illness passes. Maybe I'll try to read. Or there's always Nethack!
Stupid flu.
