Why
solarbird is smart
Jul. 25th, 2005 09:34 amSince I have been fretting about losing my walking due to the car pooling, my beloved
solarbird cleverly recommended to me over the weekend that if I got up a little earlier, I could get in some walking in the morning. In past days I would have rebelled at this notion, and indeed, when she said I mentally twitched--I don't like to get up until the last possible necessary second.
However, as the audience following along at home may recall, the Photon Cannon of Doom has been regularly waking Dara and me up well before my alarm goes off in the morning. This morning I was conscious before a quarter to seven; this morning, however, I decided to do something different about it. I got up, got myself together, and went out for a walk.
And lo, it was nice. Got to ogle the lake, got some fresh air, and at least until I got down to the bottom of the bill, no noise except the wind and birds. I went all the way down to the bus stop and back, which covers the usual free mile I get when I bus to and from work.
As a result, I'm feeling rather good this morning. Clearly I shall have to do this more often.
