Well, this is a somewhat comforting article to see. It tells me that the impression I've had of Russell's character over the last four years or so is still holding up, though it's been badly dented this week. Here's hoping that he backs these penitent words up with action.

+0: Greetings go out to [livejournal.com profile] jubelidiot, whose journal reminds me that oh yeah, I do like a-ha, don't I, and I really ought to give 'em a few more spins on the iPod as soon as I get that thing another battery.

+/-1: Getting kind of fried by working ten-hour days this week, which has probably contributed to very minimal writing the last couple of nights. But at least it's better than zero writing--and the extra hours will be good to help offset my time off for the conference, as I've mentioned before. Of course, I'm probably going to be fried by the end of the conference, but hey. ;) Tonight, though, it'll take me longer to get home since [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat and [livejournal.com profile] solarbird are planning Art Jam, so Dara won't be able to come get me. But I don't mind that too much as it'll actually give me an opportunity to get in some extra walking, and I need the exercise!

-2: Kind of gray and blustery this morning--almost cool enough that I wished I had my coat as I left the house. Early summer in Seattle is so random and weird that way.

-3: And grf, I left Angel-Seeker at home so I won't be able to read it on the way home tonight. Oh well. Looks like I'll just have to play with the handheld. And maybe get in more words!

I just found out from [livejournal.com profile] solarbird, [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat, and [livejournal.com profile] risu that someone has broken into the carriage house at MurkSouth. They apparently made off with all the keys to the main house, and now Dara's having to get a locksmith to come and change all the locks pretty much ASAP.

This is irritating beyond words, not only for the 'we can't really afford to spend several hundred bucks right now' factor, but also for the whole thing with SOMEBODY BROKE INTO OUR PROPERTY AND PUT ALL OUR TENANTS AT RISK.

GODDAMMIT!

All y'all probably know this already, but for those of you who might not, I'm about to vanish tomorrow to Writer's Weekend. I expect to have no net access, and won't be back until some time Sunday afternoon.

So if you have anything amusing or important to tell me, better do it right now. :)
