So the hospital was supposed to call me this morning between ten and eleven to do the pre-registration thing for my surgery next week--except nobody ever called. I got a call at 11, finally, from a woman in the Admissions Office who said that a nurse had tried to call but gotten no answer--which confuses me, since someone's been up since before ten, and we never heard the phone ring. I kind of wonder whether this person either dialed the wrong number or else called early enough that Dara and I were still asleep--in which case we wouldn't have heard the phone ring because we don't have a phone in the bedroom. Foo.
We rescheduled the call to be on Monday. Guess I'm going to have to make damn sure I'm up early enough to get the call.
The other "oops" here is that I had it in my brain the last few days that the surgery is going to be on Monday. I was mistaken. It's TUESDAY. Which I was told--Dr. Stickney only does these things on Tuesday, and she said so. But for whatever reason I got the Monday concept stuck in my head. This means I have an extra day to fret about the surgery; goody. ;P :) At this point, I kind of just want to get it overwith!
