I can see her sails now! Tomorrow, I go to see Master and Commander with
mamishka and
solarbird. Today will be devoted to twitching in appropriate anticipation and casting constant glances at the poster on the wall beside me. Er, not that I don't do that anyway, but! ;)
I am given to understand that M&C got beaten out by Elf this past weekend. This is a truly SAD state of affairs, and I may have to go see M&C an extra time or two just to make up for this, because CLEARLY Captain Aubrey requires my assistance!

I have now read Strong Poison...
Nov. 21st, 2003 10:30 pm... the fourth of the Lord Peter Wimsey novels, in which he meets Harriet Vane and falls in love with her at first sight. I was absolutely and utterly charmed. Especially by his first scene with Harriet. And the line "She smiled suddenly at him and his heart turned to water." Awwww. And the half-bold, half-self-deprecating, and completely charming way he had of confessing his feelings to her. Especially when he joked about running home to his mother. "It's the one and only woman and she's going through the most ghastly, awful thing and for God's sake hold my hand!" Hee hee hee.
