More dwarves than you can shake a Goblin-cleaver at

Behold, my fellow Tolkien fans, this newly released composite picture of all of the dwarves in the forthcoming Hobbit movie! If you click through on the link to the post on TheOneRing.net, it includes a full list of names from left to right, both of the characters and of the actors playing them.

That is, if I do say so myself, a pretty badass-looking company of dwarves. Although I’m having a bit of a hard time reconciling these guys with the visuals from the old Rankin-Bass animated Hobbit, from which I keep hearing Gandalf intoning, “Oin, sir, and Gloin, sir!” Also, I’m having a bit of a hard time with Kili on the far right there actually being kinda hot. ;D

Yeah, front and center and far right don't look like dwarves to me at all. And, um, yeah, Kili is TOTALLY hot. O.O

I saw a description somewhere else (probably in one of the comments on a previous TheOneRing.net post) saying these guys almost look like very short Klingons. In Thorin's case I totally buy that!

I gotta find a pic of Kili's actor in his natural proportions. That boy's pretty!

ETA: OH MY YES here we go. That boy's VERY PRETTY INDEED. Also IRISH. Yum!

I would definitely agree that Kili/Aidan Turner is veeeeeeeeery easy on the eyes. Yum.

This is causing me quite the mental disconnect, as I'm all "wait wait wait a Tolkien dwarf is HOT? How does that... I don't even... wut?" XD

And he's Irish! Very, very yum!

And to be fair, Fili over there on the other end is also kinda cute if you like blond dwarves, which just goes to show that before they get all beard-y, dwarves can apparently be still rather hot. But Kili totally out-hots his brother. XD
