Book hiatus, with caveats

So I’m continuing with the projected book buying hiatus this month, and will possibly carry it on through the summer–however, I am reserving the right to still buy the most important, critical, vital books that I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT, those which I wish to buy on their release dates so’s to properly support their authors. And in some cases, books I must read IMMEDIATELY just because I have to know what happens in them RIGHT NOW.

These books are:

• Deadline, by Mira Grant (seanan_mcguire), projected end of May release
• Desdaemona, by Ben Macallan (desperance), also projected end of May release
• Ghost Story, by jimbutcher, end of July
• Downpour, by katatomic, early August
• Wayfinder, by mizkit, September

That’s five projected vital books across an entire summer, which by my standards is still a veritable famine of book purchasing. I think this still counts!

However, if anybody out there thinks there are other vital books that I MUST ABSOLUTELY HAVE lest the entirety of the publishing industry collapse and a whole swath of imaginary characters look at me with piteous eyes, tell me in the comments. I will accept bribes. Especially if they involve pretty pictures of Alan Doyle.

weeellllll, I **do** happen to have a movie poster of Russell Crowe in full swoonability mode! Will trade for pie. ^_^

I meant bribes pertaining to book releases this summer, actually! But that said, if that poster IS saying to you in suitably rugged Aussie tones that it should be given to me, you should definitely listen to it. ;)

I've ALREADY bought more books this year than I can usually read in a year!

Although granted, this year my goal is 110 books, and as of my last book roundup I was at 106. But that didn't mention a couple of freebies I've acquired, which actually puts me more at more like 109, which is more or less 110 anyway!

So it'll be close this year, and I'm sure I'll shoot past that in book acquisition numbers once I'm off the summer hiatus. :D This is what I get for having the lifetime goal of wanting to read Most of the Books!
