For those of you who didn’t see me say this on Facebook or Twitter:

There’s a Harry Potter exhibit coming to the Pacific Science Center on October 23rd!

And, AND, the very same weekend, a Battlestar Galactica exhibit arrives at the Sci-Fi Museum! Including full-sized prop ships!

In short: GEEK WEEKEND OF AWESOME. Tix for the Potter exhibit go on sale on the 14th, and I’m keeping an eye out for when the BSG ones are available. Chances of the Murkworks descending en masse upon both of these exhibits at once are very, very high. If you’d like to be in on that geekery, let me know! This is your advance warning!

WHAT. BSG exhibit?!

Why have I never heard of such a thing? It had better come to Chicago. That's all I'm sayin.

And, if the Harry Potter exhibit is the same as was at MSI in Chicago, it's totally worth going--it was a lot of fun!

From what I'm seeing, the HP exhibit is the same one that's been making the rounds all over the country, yeah.

And the BSG exhibit is debuting here as far as I can tell! But hopefully it'll start making the rounds after.

I think I saw this exhibit while in Boston. It's pretty neat. Made me want to watch all of the movies back to back. It's not as amazing though as seeing, say the LOTR costumes and such. Most of the costumes are pretty simple really - I've seen better costumes at cons! But they arrange it all nicely with sets and such for each place that the things would be found in. I might be tempted to go again.

As for BSG, I'm totally going to go see that. :D

I'm QUITE excited about the BSG exhibit, and will have to see when tix go on sale for that! And when people might like to go! kathrynt expressed interest, even, though she'll be due right around then so she may have to go post-baby.
