Hardly, Trek fandom is alive and well, thank you very much. (Say what you like about the reboot movie, it's actually given a nice jolt of life into Trek fandom.)

And besides, as Trek fandom is the originator of the whole Mary Sue concept, it ain't like it has anything to spin about even if it WERE genuinely dead. :)
