Bookstore accident

I went out this afternoon to get some prescriptions refilled, to get some lunch, and to get some fresh air since I was kind of stir-crazy after being Recovery Girl for a week. But most importantly of all, I stopped at Third Place and had me a bit of a book binge. Picked up were the following:

Carrie Ryan's The Forest of Hands and Teeth, a YA novel about a post-zombie-apocalypse village and the girl who wants to find out what still exists beyond the forest filled with undead. Just recently featured over on Scalzi's blog, and I thought it sounded neat and creepy. Have already started reading it. It is neat and creepy.

J.F. Lewis' ReVamped, Book 2 to go with the book of his I just read, which was Staked.

Mark del Franco's Unquiet Dreams, Book 2 of his Connor Grey series.

John Levitt's New Tricks, Book 2 to go with Dog Days, read earlier this year.

And last but not least blackaire's Second Skin, Book 3 of her Nocturne City series. Note that I have not yet actually read book 2. However, she's gone onto my auto-buy list, and I plan to get caught up ASAP.

Total books bought so far in 2009: 14!

Man, that is just a great title. The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Simple. Obvious. Fabulous. ;-)

Isn't it just? The title was the first thing that seized me about it, and the book lived up to its neatness, I am happy to report.
